Power Technology Research (PTR) is a Silicon Valley-based market research company with a focus on energy transition and electrical infrastructure market research. Our aim is to change the way market research is provided to customers by ensuring a highly transparent and flexible methodology in our analysis. We are looking to hire a Market Research Analyst for our consulting group. The candidate will be working with our clients around the world, spanning multiple geographies and industries to support and grow their businesses

Your tasks will include:

♦ Carry out secondary research to mine data/information from publicly available reports/strategy plans of key stakeholders in energy/e-mobility sector.

♦ Conduct primary research in the form of expert interviews/discussions to gather insights and market trends.

♦ Store and maintain the data/information gathered through primary and secondary research in the form of databases

♦ Extract key market trends from these databases and create links with industry specific or macroeconomic trends

♦ Analyze qualitative information and generate robust mechanisms to forecast markets

♦ Write articles/ impressions on key market trends

♦ Take ownerships of a product, by overseeing junior analysts to meet product and project deadlines. 

Qualification & Experience:

♦ BS/MS in Electrical Engineering

♦ 1.5 – 2  years of experience in a similar role is preferred

Skills:

♦ Excellent command on Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel

♦ Ability to manage multiple topics simultaneously

♦ Previous knowledge of market research and intelligence is a strong plus

♦ Ability to work autonomously and deliver results with minimal guidance.

♦ Knowledge of data analytics tools is a plus
