Python Developer
Power Technology Research (PTR) is a Silicon Valley-based market research company with a focus on energy transition and electrical infrastructure market research. Our aim is to change the way market research is provided to customers by ensuring a highly transparent and flexible methodology in our analysis. We are looking to hire a Python Developer for our products group. The candidate will be working with our clients around the world, spanning multiple geographies and industries to support and grow their businesses
Your tasks will include:

- Work on the backend of different modules of a Django based web application.
- Create python-based tools (such as web scraping) to fetch data from various online sources.
- Parsing and storing the gathered information and data into databases (SQL).
- Develop scalable framework for automating and maintaining flow of data from multiple sources.
- Eventually making crawlers intelligent to categorize the cleaned data into news, trends and quantitative facts & figures.
Qualification & Experience:

- BS/MS in CS/SE
- 1-3 years work experience on developing python and python applied to web crawling/scraping
Skills:

- Command of python and Django framework.
- Strong knowledge of web scrapping framework like Scrapy or Beautiful Soup.
