Power Technology Research (PTR) is a strategic growth advisory firm helping companies in the electrical infrastructure space with market research, strategic advisory and marketing services. We pride ourselves in providing customers high-value intelligence and advice to inform strategy and investment, as well as marketing support when it comes to putting that strategy into practice. We are a very lean and fast-moving B2B company, investing and/or pivoting to capture market demand.  We are looking to hire IT Manager for our consulting group.

Purpose of the Role:
The purpose of this role is to maintain and optimize the company’s IT systems, cloud platforms, and user environment to ensure stability, security, and high performance. By providing timely support and continuous improvements, the role empowers teams to operate efficiently and without disruption in a remote environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Administer and manage Microsoft environments including Azure Active Directory, Office 365, Exchange, and SharePoint.
  • Provide training to users on how to use Office 365 tools effectively.
  • Administer and provision for infrastructure across AWS, GCP, Hostinger, WordPress, and domain management platforms.
  • Work with external consultants to access platforms to work toward solutions.
  • Address user support requests, including password resets, account issues, and assistance with downloading emails.
  • Perform installations, configurations, migrations, and basic server and workstation implementations.
  • Maintain thorough and updated documentation of procedures, systems, access controls, and support processes.
  • Coordinate with technical teams to ensure platform stability, uptime, and smooth operations.
  • Manage company hardware, including laptops requiring occasional servicing.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science or IT related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in administering most of the aforementioned platforms

Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft administration architecture​
  • Taking initiative on cyber security and system/process improvement
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting mindset
