RXHK won multiple STATCOM orders from Asia and one order from Africa in past several years. In Africa, RXHK is supplying a STATCOM to Moma Titanium Minerals Mine owned by Kenmare Resources PLC in Mozambique. The scope of supply included ±15Mvar STATCOM, step up transformer and 110kV outdoor GIS bay. Last week, RXHK has energized the 110kV GIS bay and transformer. Now their team will be starting commissioning of STATCOM which is expected to be completed by April 2021. This is RXHK second project in Mozambique. Before this order, RXHK had supplied a utility scale STATCOM to Electricidade de Moçambique (EDM) in 2015.
