New York city started testing electric refuse trucks

In populated cities such as New York, emissions and noise from vehicles cause a great problem. Grabage trucks usually belong to the heavy-truck category. These trucks are mostly diesel operated and hence they make huge amounts of emissions and noise. To avoid such kinds of issues, fully electric trucks are currently making rounds on Brooklyn streets. The introduction of these trucks can help the city acheive its goal of being carbon neutral by 2050. The city is planning to electrify its entire fleet by 2040. Link to the news:
